Dear staff,
Since Chris McKinzie enjoyed going to The Henry Ford Museum and Village. I spoke with people at the Henry Ford about options for a memorial. A bench is 5000.00 which was too expensive, but when I mentioned that Chris was a teacher, they told me about a new program which would put a dedication plate in a book in the Benson Ford Research Library at the Museum. They are still in the process of compiling a list of books that will be appropriate for the program, but when they do, our dedication to Chris will be the first one. The price is 500.00 and we are planning to use the money that the middle school and elementary schools have donated toward this cause. Each school has donated 50.00 and additional donations will be accepted.
Tanya Duffy and Priscilla Zenn will be coordinating the dedication once we get more information.
